About Us

Our Story
Welcome to Lakeland Alpacas, located in the beautiful Granite Belt region of Queensland, just outside Stanthorpe. With its cool climate and nutrient-rich soils, the area provides the perfect conditions for raising healthy, strong-boned alpacas with high-quality fleeces.
Our passion lies in breeding and nurturing superior animals, with a strong focus on fleece density, length, consistency, and longevity. By carefully selecting stud alpacas with elite, proven genetics, including imported bloodlines, we strive to position ourselves among the best fleece growers in the industry.

We are proud of the progress we’ve made and excited for the future, with each new cria showing year-on-year improvement in both health and fleece quality.
Beyond breeding, we value the versatility and peaceful nature of alpacas, whether as pets, guardians, show animals, or commercial fiber producers.
Our commitment extends beyond our own herd, as we remain passionate about alpaca wellbeing and provide ongoing support and advice to fellow owners.
